Voxelizer is a dedicated software package designed to drive ZMorph, and other RepRap-compatible printers. It’s been created to extend capabilities of widely available open-source software and to enable uses of such tools as 3d printers, CNC mills and various types of extruders (chocolate or ceramics for example).
Apart from being a ‘host’ software to control your machine, it is able to generate gcodes from three dimensional geometry in completely new way. Namely, instead of using triangle based geometry (such as those in STL and OBJ files), it converts it to voxels – making the object consist of small ‘boxes’ or ‘atoms’. This allows entire new way of thinking about conversion from virtual model to physical object.
